How to open an Exness account: step by step

This is every screen you will meet, in order, with the fields people most often get wrong. Allow about 5 minutes to fill in the form; identity verification runs separately and is the part that decides your overall timeline.

Everything on this page is educational. It is not investment advice.

Before you begin

Have these three things ready

With all three in hand you finish in one sitting. Missing one means you stop halfway and come back later.

  • A working email address or Thai mobile number. It receives your one-time codes and security alerts, every time you sign in from a new device. This is the single most common point of failure: an address you never open will block verification later.
  • An unexpired ID card or passport. KYC is not optional, and an unverified account cannot withdraw. Phone photos are accepted if every character is legible and there is no glare on the laminate.
  • Proof of address that carries your name. A bank statement, house registration document or utility bill issued within the last three months. It is usually only asked for when your stated address differs from your ID, but preparing it in advance prevents a stall.

The five steps

From the registration page to your first order

Steps 1 to 3 are the form itself, about 5 minutes to fill in the form in total. Step 4 is verification, which happens on a different clock. Step 5 is funding.

  1. Open the registration page and pick your country

Use the button above to reach the Exness registration page, then select Thailand in the country or region field. That single choice drives the currency set offered, the funding methods you will see, and the default interface language.

Changing the country later is not a one-field edit: parts of the profile have to be re-entered. Take a second to confirm it before you press continue.

Careful: the country you select does not rename your account, but it does change which payment channels are offered to you.

  2. Enter your email or phone number, then set a password

Use an address you open daily, or a Thai mobile number that can receive SMS. This channel is what verifies you and what delivers one-time codes on every new login.

The password needs upper case, lower case and digits as the form requires. Do not reuse the password from your email account or social media — this is a financial login.

Careful: if you register with a phone number, confirm it can receive international SMS — codes may originate from a provider outside Thailand.

Form details done? Next comes identity verification.

  1. Fill in your details exactly as they appear on your ID

Enter your name in Latin characters exactly as printed on your ID card or passport, along with date of birth, address and occupation.

These fields are matched against your documents during verification. A nickname, or a name spelled one letter differently, will be rejected and you will have to resubmit.

Careful: use an address you can actually evidence, such as the one on a bank statement or house registration document.

  2. Verify your identity (KYC) with an ID card or passport

Upload a photo of the photo page of an unexpired document. Shoot it in good light, with all four edges visible and no reflection, then follow the selfie liveness prompts.

The review itself typically takes a few minutes to one business day, and depends on volume plus image quality. You can keep using a demo account normally while you wait.

Careful: never edit or crop a document image. An altered image counts as false information and can get the account suspended.

  3. Make your first deposit, then place your first order

Open the deposit menu and pick a channel you already use — Thai bank transfer, PromptPay or TrueMoney Wallet, for example. Enter the amount and check the destination account details the system shows you before you confirm.

Once the funds land you can trade on the website or in the mobile app. Start with the smallest size you can, so you can see what the spread and commission actually cost in money rather than in theory.

Careful: transfer only to the amount and destination account shown in your own deposit screen. Never send money to an account someone gives you in a chat.

Why verification gets rejected: the three common causes

Almost every slow case traces back to what was submitted, not to the system.

Blurry photos or glare

A shot taken in shade, or with a reflection across the card laminate, leaves characters unreadable. Photograph in natural light with the card flat on a plain surface.

Details that do not match the document

A nickname in the name field, a spelling difference, or an address in a different province from the document you supplied. Mismatches are rejected outright.

Expired or edited documents

An expired card, or an image that has been cropped or retouched, is refused in every case. Submit an untouched photo of a valid document.

If you are rejected, go back to the verification status screen and read the reason given, then resubmit only the item that was flagged rather than the whole set again.

The account is open. What comes next?

Two decisions follow registration: which account type fits how you trade, and which funding route is cheapest and quickest for you.

Choose an account type

Compare every type by cost structure, and see whether you pay through the spread or through commission.

Understand deposits and withdrawals

Which channels work from Thailand, how long they usually take, and why withdrawals get delayed.

Check the answers we get asked most

Still stuck? This site can explain the process, but it cannot access or change your account — anything about your own registration, verification or funds has to go through Exness customer support.
